Energy Systems Modelling Addressing Energy Security and Climate Change

This conference will present the latest results on the optimal energy systems technology options to ensure future energy security and mitigate against climate change. Mr. Eamon Ryan TD, Minister for Communications, Energy and Natural Resources will deliver a keynote address. Results will be presented on energy systems solutions at a global level, the best way forward for the European Union. In addition, UCC will present the first results for Ireland on what energy technology options can best meet our ambitious target for the period to 2050 to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 80% below 1990 levels. The conference will also showcase energy research in Ireland on renewable energy resources and technology costs.
