Enabling Agriculture, Forestry, and Other Land Use (AFOLU) Sector Modeling in TIMES

The project investigated the possibility of including agriculture, forest, and other land use (AFOLU) emissions in the TIMES-framework. The project resulted in an open stand-alone model for the AFOLU-sector with a detailed methodology note and a how to guide to enable new users to generate a country specific model. The model available on Github is populated with data for Sweden with the base year 2022. The model was presented at the ETSAP workshop in June 2025.
