EPAUS9rT business-as-usual case
#1
Hello! I am new to TIMES and am trying to run a business-as-usual case using based on EPAUS9rT data. I am attaching here a screenshot of the case manager. I was wondering which scenarios I should choose to run to be the closest to a business-as-usual case. I have run the model with all the scenarios checked and it gave me a result that is infeasible. I have run with the Base, SysSetting, and Growth checked, and it returned with one optimal solution. Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

Dear qzaus,

The ETSAP TIMES Forum is primarily meant for questions, comments and discussions about the IEA ETSAP modelling tools, especially TIMES.

To my knowledge, the USEPA US9r TIMES model is based on TIMES, but it has been built by the US EPA primarily for their own use, not for ETSAP. Unless I am mistaken, that model is not even openly available. At least on the EPA website it is mentioned that one should privately contact Carol Lenox (Lenox.Carol@epa.gov) for requesting information, instructions and access to EPAUS9rT.

EPAUS9rT – An Energy Systems Database for use with the TIMES Model

Therefore, I think only those people who have access to the EPA model and are also familiar with it would be able to help you. Possibly you could contact Carol Lenox even for getting some help with the model.  But let's see if there is someone on this Forum who knows that model and could help.
